During my recent trip to explore the Turda Salt Mine, I chose to stay at Pensiunea Daiana Residence. Conveniently located just 450 meters from the salt mine, this accommodation truly caters to travelers seeking a comfortable night’s rest after a long day of exploration. The rooms, particularly the spacious one in the big white house, offered a minimalistic yet comfortable atmosphere, complemented by a balcony that provided a nice touch. Despite a bit of a language barrier during check-in—where my limited Romanian and their limited English clashed—it was refreshing to find that they accepted euro payments, making the experience seamless for international guests. The communal kitchen was a handy feature, though it would benefit from a washing machine for longer stays. For families, the presence of trampolines kept the little ones entertained, which was appreciated by my travel companions. While there were minor inconveniences, Pensiunea Daiana Residence serves its purpose well for those looking to discover the fascinating wonders of Turda.
